At that time, the Lords of Lohma donated interest in Schömberg for an altar in Weida. The small church is located a little way off in an open field, surrounded by an old quarry stone wall. It was already the center of its own parish in 1336 and was only assigned to the church of Steinsdorf in the middle of the 16th century. The recently renovated building basically consists only of an apse and the adjoining nave. It thus represents the type of late Romanesque apse hall.

Coming from the direction of Aumatalsperre, the path is constantly uphill. When you see the church tower and later the small church, you know that the journey was worth it.
