The glacier is a real natural spectacle. Here the glacier was formed under very high pressure, which is why the ice is particularly blue. The ice flea was discovered in the Patagonian ice niche, a small creature that feeds on the sediments or pollen in the ice. The Patagonians say that the ice is so blue because millions of these little fleas look at us with their blue eyes.

A very impressive glacier with beautiful blue ice. The bluer the ice, the fewer air pockets there are. The color is created due to the heavy snow and the resulting compression. It is probably one of the most beautiful blues you can see on a glacier in the world. The glacier moves forward 2 m every day, causing large chunks of ice to fall into the water. You can also hear it cracking, cracking and popping all the time.

It's fantastic to stand here and look at the glacier. It calves with a mighty thunder and you can see the chunks of ice drifting into the water. A sublime feeling 🥰
