Saint-Théodorit Cathedral, located in the commune of Uzès, in the Gard, dates from the end of the 11th century. Listed as a Historic Monument for its bell tower and Fenestrelle tower, it was the seat of the former bishopric of Uzès until the French Revolution.
Originally built in a Romanesque style, the Saint-Théodorit cathedral was rebuilt in the late twelfth century after the Albigensian Crusade, then in the second half of the sixteenth century. At the beginning of the seventeenth century, it suffered total destruction with the arrival of the wars of religion.

The church itself is still quite young - from the 20th century - the distinctive bell tower, however, dates back to the 17th century.
