The Castle of San Servando is an impressive medieval fortress located in Toledo, next to the Tagus River and very close to the Alcántara Bridge. It is one of the city's most notable monuments due to its history, architecture, and strategic location.

One of the most imposing monuments that can be seen from many points of the city is the Castillo de San Servando, elevated on the left bank of the Tagus. Since the 11th century (even before) it has been the fortress that has defended one of the main accesses to the city. Now hostel and rebuilt.

The castle was commissioned by Alfonso VI. built as a monastery in honor of Saint Servando. Due to its location opposite the Alcántara Bridge, it was also an important part of the city's fortifications. It was built on the ruins of a Moorish castle.
