Vandring
The sculpture is made of wax strips that are melted together. This operation must be carried out in a cool room to maintain the desired shape. The strips and seams have remained clearly visible, which emphasises the unnatural, the artificial nature of this sculpture. Classical modelling and moulding have not been used here. For small formats this technique is very common, but for larger dimensions, such as this one, it is rather exceptional.
