At the Gold Souk, also known as Dubai City of Gold, which is located right next to the Spice Market, everything that glitters is indeed gold. In over 300 small jewelry stores, local traders offer their golden wares. The respective price for chains, watches and rings, as I have had it explained to me, depends on the current gold value and results from the weight and purity of the gold.
Even if you don't want to buy gold, it's worth strolling through the many small shops and taking a closer look at the overloaded shop windows.
