Dahliafleur was originally owned by an Italian operator by the name of Italo Barbeta. Ceded by President Félix Houphouët-Boigny with the aim of developing a flower plantation there, this land bears the name of his favorite plant – the Dahlia. Died in Ivory Coast a few decades ago, he was buried in his reserve where the remains of his tomb are still visible.

One of the three green lungs of the city, like the Banco National Park and the Bingerville Botanical Garden also managed by the Ivorian Office of Parks and Reserves, this park was created after the death of an Italian gardener who produced flowers, including dahlias.
The employees asked 5000 F CFA for the entry of non-Ivorians, but it is worth asking because it was less at the Botanical Garden (500 F children, 1000 F adult access, up to 5000 F for a guided tour). The paths here are less well maintained and therefore less cycleable.
