The windmill near Schneeren is an earth Dutchman and was built in 1871.
Originally it had 3 grinding courses.
Since it is privately owned, it can only be photographed from a distance.

The Schneeren windmill was built in 1871 and was in operation until 1950. In 1947 she was badly damaged by lightning.
After the mill had been renovated for several years from 1952, the owners used it as a house.
In 2012 the renovation of the mill started again. This project was completed four years later with the installation of the mill wings.
Since then, the mill can be rented as a holiday home.
