The Hermitage of St. Sebastian in Tavira is an 18th-century Baroque chapel built on medieval foundations. It contains a unique series of paintings from 1759 depicting the life of St. Sebastian and richly painted imitation marble walls. While the exterior is simple, the interior is remarkably detailed. After restoration, the chapel is occasionally used for cultural events.
