This is one of the great place to hike to and if you camp to spend a night in. If you don’t want to hike, the island shuttle can be booked and can drive you there from Avalon or from Airport in the Sky. For fit people, it can be reached for a day hike from Two Harbors (and back) or from Airport in the sly (and back). I recommend the trail from Two Harbors (using the Trans-Catalina trail) which is stunning from the beginning to the end (if you are afraid of height, do not do it)
