The monastery of Santa Maria de Lladó belongs to the Augustinian order, and was founded in the year 1089. Currently, only the church, built a century later, remains in its entirety, together with what remains of other dependencies.
Throughout the 13th and 14th centuries, the monastery was expanded, with a hospital for pilgrims, the Priory house (currently the rectory) or the house of the porcionero. The Priory house and the façade of the church are Romanesque in style, as are the balconies, which also have Romanesque wrought iron railings.
