Vandring
There is a parking lot for hikers here, which is mostly used for rides on the Dachstein cable car. If you validate your parking ticket at the Dachstein mountain station, you can use the toll road for free! But other hiking trails branch off here (e.g. to the Brandalm, Austriahütte, Walcheralm, Dachstein Südwandhütte ...)

Built in 1969, a height difference of 996 meters can be overcome in around six minutes. One of the two gondolas has a balcony where up to ten people can enjoy the ride in the fresh air.
From May to September you have to reserve the trips in advance!

Spectacular panorama right from the valley station! Better to go up early if you're coming by car, as many parking spaces are already gone by 9am... by bike, a wonderful mountain route, wide road that's also good because of the traffic... by bike, it's also better to go up early!
