One of the Royal Sites of the Spanish monarchy since Philip II named it in 1560, it has also had the title of Villa since 1899. Therefore, it is known as Royal Site and Villa of Aranjuez. Declared a Cultural Landscape Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2001.

We are facing one of the most impressive royal palaces in Spain. If you don't feel like going in to visit it (something absolutely recommended) stay on the esplanade of the façade enjoying La Paz and the tranquility that the environment transmits.

This town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was already beautiful before the kings arrived to set up their retirement palaces there. It was this beauty and its convenient location on the banks of the Tagus between Toledo and Madrid that caught the attention of Isabella I and Ferdinand II, the first monarchs to decide to build a palace. This history linked to royalty has left the town with a great infrastructure of the Court, in which its gardens also stand out.
