Neßmersiel is the ferry port to the North Sea island of Baltrum. The Baltrum Linie shipping company operates daily services to the smallest of the East Frisian Islands. Various excursions to seal colonies and other sites are also available.

From here, ferries to the car-free island of Baltrum start. The Neßmersiler lido is in the immediate vicinity. From the ferry port, many guided mudflat hikes to the island of Baltrum or short-haul mudflats start on the Neßmersiler coast.
