Asco Kohlensäure AG donated a fountain to the city in 1993. The CO2 and dry ice company is based on Romanshorner Industriestrasse. An identical counterpart of the water feature, which is based on dandelions, is at the other end of the world or as they say in the port city: "The second Asco fountain is situated 'below'." Namely in the New Zealand city of Christchurch. The Asco fountain in Romanshorn has now become a municipal landmark.
