For me, the pictures don't match the segment. Not recommended for a racing bike due to the long gravel path at the end.

The view from the Chasseron is breathtaking. You can see Lake Neuchâtel, the Swiss Plateau and the Alps if the sky is clear.
This view has to be earned: the second part of the ascent is very steep with passages at almost 20%. There are also several unpaved areas. It's ok with a road bike, but to have fun I recommend 28mm tires and a small development (34x32 or smaller)
