Cajarc was made famous by the comedian Coluche, during a sketch, where the latter parodies a cult radio program: Le Schmilblick. The village is backed by the causse of Saint-Chels, and is surrounded by cirques of limestone plateaus. The village is located at the foot of the Lot River, it benefits from a natural setting conducive to relaxation and sports activities.

Cajarc is a very beautiful place with narrow old town streets. It is a medieval place, but very busy. Hostels, restaurants, cafés, shops and post office are available.
What's particularly nice about Cajarc is the location. The place is surrounded by high rock walls.
Cajarc was made famous by President Georges Pompidou, who had a country house here.
Cajarc has been an important stopover for pilgrims since the 13th century because there was already a hospice there.
