Although you now avoid the heavy traffic, you have to watch out for hundreds of pedestrians who are looking at the historic walls, is it better with a racing bike?

In combination with gravel sections, which can also be ridden with today's racing bike tires > 28 mm wide, the section is a good and safe alternative to the Fernpass road between Reutte and Heiterwang. In the tourist-oriented area of the Ehrenberg Castle World, many visitors are of course to be expected, but they are certainly less harmful than the heavy traffic on the pass road.

You can't completely avoid the busy Fernpass road with a racing bike, but a little bit it's much more pleasant here than on the B179. Consistently good asphalt.
