That is, the villages no longer existed.
Gerholdshausen was later resettled.

The villages and farms were destroyed or burned down before 1593.
This was after the Peasants' War of 1525/1526 and before the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648).

Some villages and farms in the municipality of Jagstberg also disappeared before 1593.

All the villages and farms near Geroldshausen had been sold or donated to the Schäftersheim monastery by the nobility.
Already during the peasant revolt there was great hatred for monastery estates and they were destroyed.
The monasteries in the area - like Schäftersheim Monastery - were under the authority of the Bishop of Würzburg.

My research into the disposal of farms and hamlets near Herrentierbach has revealed:

In 1540, Bishop Julius Echter of Würzburg started a counter-reform to bring or keep the villages on Kocher and Jagst back to Catholicism.
He wanted to strengthen Jagstberg and curtail Mulfingen and Ailringen.

Jagstberg Castle was actually the castle that belonged to Mulfingen. Mulfingen had its own parish to which Jagstberg belonged. Niedermulfingen belonged to Jagstberg and was destroyed around 1568.

Apparently the lords of Mulfingen wanted to change their faith.
As early as 1544, a vicar preached in Jagstberg and no longer the Mulfingen pastor.
