The Forsthaus Valepp was built in the 19th century and is located between the Spitzingsee and the Austrian border. The mountain inn in the Valepp, which has been empty for years, has now been renovated and will reopen in August 2024.
Manuel Neuer and his business partner Johannes Rabl have taken over the Forsthaus Valepp by leasehold for a period of 99 years. Their goal is to make the mountain inn south of the Spitzingsee a down-to-earth meeting point for hikers, day tourists and overnight guests again with an investment of several million euros.
