from Wikipedia: The church building is the successor to the old Saint Agnes church, which is located elsewhere in Bunde.
In 1951 the church council decided to have a new church built, because the condition of the old Saint Agnes church had deteriorated. Meanwhile, the municipality was making plans for the modernization of the village center of Bunde. In that plan, space was reserved for a new town hall, a new patronage building and a new church building. The new church was thus placed in the center of the village.
