The famous Humanist Library of Sélestat is located in a former granary. The approximately 36-meter-long reading room houses some 3,000 written documents from the 7th to the 16th centuries, manuscripts, incunabula and early prints. Precious pieces such as a commented bible from the 7th century can be seen in display cases.

Great museum with an entertaining exhibition of unique books and works of art from the Renaissance and humanist times.
The construction itself is also great 😊. Here, modern architectural elements are skilfully combined with stone-old buildings.
