Mountainbiking

It dates back to the 11th century, and has been modified several times, with the addition of bastions and towers and used for different functions, from administrative center to barracks, to prison. The castle was bombed during the First World War. The patient reconstruction work started in the 1930s has given the castle that fascinating medieval air. It contains galleys, weapons of the time and beautiful rooms.

The Castello Gorizia and the "Borgo Castello" located within the castle are currently being renovated and are not fully accessible. The buildings within the castle enjoy the protection of the castle walls. The Borgo houses a restaurant that invites you to linger. From the castle, you can enjoy beautiful views of Gorizia and Nova Gorizia.
