The parish church of Großau is consecrated to St. Lawrence. The late baroque hall church with west tower was built in 1785–1790 after the parish was raised in 1784 in the north-east of the village, opposite the castle park and renovated in 1891.
The two-storey rectory with a hipped roof was built at the same time as the church.

At the moment the inside of the church is being prepared, it is locked and cannot be visited. Every year a popular Advent market takes place in the rectory, which is organized by the residents of the neighboring villages. Because of the Corona Lockdowns 2020/21 no pre-Christmas event!

The Roman Catholic parish church of Großau stands opposite the castle park in the northeast of the village of Großau in the municipality of Raabs an der Thaya in the district of Waidhofen an der Thaya in Lower Austria. The parish church, which is placed under the patron saint of Laurentius of Rome, belongs to the deanery of Geras in the diocese of St. Pölten. The church is under monument protection (list entry).

The late baroque hall church has a west tower.
