St. Jakob is the Roman Catholic parish church in Alt-Saarbrücken. The church is listed as a single monument in the Saarland list of monuments.
After the destruction of World War II, there was initially only partial reconstruction in 1948-1949. Under the direction of the architect Rudolf Krüger (Saarbrücken), only the choir and transept were restored before the complete reconstruction was carried out in 1954 by the Saarbrücken architect Emil Tiator. However, the church was not faithful to the original, but rebuilt in a different way.

Very nice church on the Way of St. James, unfortunately it was closed when I visited.
There is a beautiful 15th century statue of James made of basswood
