In the church of Nørre Løgum, which has been rebuilt many times, preaching has been carried out in German and Danish for centuries. It was the only parish church in the area until the Cistercian church at Løgum Kloster also became a parish church in 1739. Originally the church of Nørre Løgum was probably South Jutland's oldest brick building, built around 1200 and related to the large Romanesque church in Ringsted on Zealand. Mary is undeniably the focus of interest, because four depictions of Mary from this church came to the Flensburg Museum in 1901.

Romanesque / early Gothic. A legend says that the church on a Hallig served as a fort and as a shelter for the town of Tønder. At the same time she was in close contact with Tønderhus. The theory is confirmed by the fact that the church is not in the largest city in the parish, Saed. Another theory is that the place was a pagan holy place. West of the church is Denmark's oldest parsonage from around 1600 with paintings from 1747 and a crucifix from 1525. You can get the key in the parsonage on request.
