Saxony's uncle writes the key tip: you can only use the funicular with a day ticket, otherwise you have to pay another 60 crowns... but it's not that much money. You don't have to queue if you take the first train in the morning...

Recommendation is to get a day ticket, because you can use for little money, the entire public transport, which also includes the funicular, and waiting time at checkout spared. Available in newsagents or tobacconists.

Already in the morning a very long wait. You went faster up there. Only this part of the park is rather unspectacular. I recommend going up in the western part of the park.
