Landevejscykling
the section from Le Freney-d'Oisans to La Garde is approx. 13km long and has approx. 430m altitude difference. There is no traffic as the main road runs parallel to it in the valley. The route is worthwhile as you have an excellent view of the valley and Castle d'Oisans. You come out of Alpe d'Huez at curve 16 and can decide whether you want to drive down into the valley first and do the entire climb or drive straight up to Huez from here.
