“The Feast of the Assumption of Mary [which the Catholic Church celebrates annually on August 15 in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God] is a cautionary sign: Detach yourselves somewhat from earthly things! And Mother Church urges us to ask God on this feast for the grace to strive for the things of heaven. But this day also answers a question that many people ask themselves today: Do we not also have a right to the things of this earth, a right to rest, to pleasure...? Yes, we do have this right, but within certain limits!”
