The three-aisled hall church of St. Laurentius in Nürtingen is an imposing landmark high above the Neckar. The town church has been enthroned on the Schlossberg for more than 500 years. The current town church is the third church to be built on this site. The dimensions of the current church date from the end of the 15th century. The church tower with its distinctive "Welsh dome" towers over the roofs of the old town.

The church stands high in the old town above the Neckar. The castle in Nürtingen used to be right next to it. The castle fountain next to the church tells of this.

Today's town church is the third church to be built on this site. The dimensions of the current church date from the end of the 15th century. The cross-ribbed vault of the choir is said to be worth seeing. The church is usually open for viewing.
