Between the two high mountain passes of Baga-La and Numa-La people look for the caterpillar fungus or Yarsagumba (Tibetan). The fungus is found throughout the Himalayas and on the Tibetan Plateau at altitudes of 4,000 to 5,000 m. Yarsagumba is used in Tibetan and Chinese medicine to increase energy and reduce fatigue, but its main commercial use is as an aphrodisiac. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ophiocordyceps_sinensis
