The Dome of San Gaudenzio, symbol of the city of Novara, stands out from the Basilica of the same name below and is the work of Alessandro Antonelli. The architect, using only bricks and lime, built one of the most daring masonry structures in the history of world architecture. From the spire of the dome you can enjoy a vast panorama of the city and the plain below, which extends up to the Alps.
