Cykling
Approximately 5 km south-east of Forst (Lausitz), directly on the Neisse, is the "Hispe" nature reserve. It covers an area of approx. 10 ha with the remains of the former Neisse floodplain forest and stocks of a pedunculate oak and hornbeam forest. With willows, black poplar floodplains, wet meadows and reed communities, the Hispe is the habitat of endangered animal species and serves as a breeding and feeding area for water, raptor and songbird species. Vandring
The Hispe area represents one of the last large hardwood floodplain forests in the Neisse Valley. In addition to the hardwood floodplain forests, there are mixed deciduous forest communities, grassland areas, and a large oxbow lake. The area lies north of Groß Bademeusel, directly behind the dike, and is part of a distinctive alluvial sand fan at the entrance of the Neisse River into the Baruth glacial valley (Natura 2000 management plan in the state of Brandenburg).
