Lake Bohinj is attractive at any time of day. Clouds are often still present in the morning, creating a magical connection between the lake and the landscape. This unity is palpable. It only partially comes across in the pictures.

Lake Bohinj (Wocheiner See) offers numerous bathing spots with larger and smaller bays around the lake. Along the southern shore, a cycle and pedestrian path runs alongside the main road through the shady forest. There are frequent clearings offering views of the expansive lake. A hiking trail leads to the northern shore, but cycling is explicitly prohibited there. The most enchanting bay is in the west, where the Savice River flows into the lake. This spot features a gravel beach area and crystal-clear water, which offers a stunning play of colors thanks to the sunlight and the vertical cliffs.

Bohinjsko jezero / Wocheiner See / Lake Bohinj - the largest, permanent lake located in Slovenia. It is a remnant of the glacier, which was located in this place before 20 thousand. years. The lake is approx. 4 km long, 1 km wide, and up to 45 m deep.
