A well-designed roundabout, a real eye-catcher, even for passing cyclists. 🚴🏻♂️ This striking sculpture in the shape of a stranded shipwreck is located in the roundabout on Carretera Bonojaví in Torrevieja. The artistic installation depicts a steeply tilted boat with nets, masts, and ropes, seemingly reclaimed by nature. Surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation such as palm trees and low bushes, the work of art serves as a symbol of past seafaring, decay, and the power of nature. It impressively combines maritime heritage with landscaping and serves as a prominent landmark on the road between the city and the coast.
