The parish of Meinsen is located in the west of the Schaumburg district north of the city of Bückeburg. The Mittelland Canal runs through the Rusbend district, which borders directly on the Schaumburg Forest. This represents a natural border in the north of the parish and is partially owned by the Prince House of Schaumburg-Lippe and the Lower Saxony State Forest. In the south of the municipality, the district of Meinsen-Warber borders the Bückeburger Niederung nature reserve.

The Meinser Church in Schaumburg Lippe The 45 meter high tower of the neo-Gothic cross-shaped brick church, which was consecrated in 1878, rises in the village center of the formerly independent district of Meinsen, visible from afar. Opposite the church are the historic rectory from the 18th century and the parish hall, which was built in 1973.

The cemetery chapel in the church cemetery in the middle of the village of Meinsen-Warber was expanded in the course of a cemetery expansion in the 1990s.

The tower of the Evangelical Church in Meinsen, which rises 53 meters like a pencil, can be seen from afar and is therefore a good orientation aid for cyclists. The brick church, built in 1876-78 in the neo-Gothic style, has a cruciform floor plan. Because of its excellent acoustics, Meinsen Church is regularly used for concerts.
