I was able to get between areas of forest track through this path which has been well tracked out. you definitely will need to hike through and it's very boggy (in June), there is also a very steep bank at one end to navigate across.

June 2024 update - remains extremely muddy and boggy, very deep in places but really the only way to connect the paths that doesn't involve bashing through thick forest.
