On this occasion, we conducted a field geological field trip in the Bayat area, Klaten, Central Java. Bayat is one of three locations on the island of Java (apart from Ciletuh and Karangsambung) where the oldest pre-tertiary rocks of the pre-tertiary age were discovered or revealed. Had to stay one night at the Bayat Geological Field Campus before continuing the trip to Parangtritis Beach for a geomorphological event.
