Beautifully landscaped castle park. Since the baroness's death, it has been used more and more for great events. The Christmas market on the 1st weekend in Advent is always a highlight.

The history of the Adelsdorf branch of the von Bibra noble family is closely linked to the castle. Baroness Barbara von Bibra, who sold the castle to the community in 1993, lived in the main wing of the castle until her death at the end of 2016.

Today the castle is used in a variety of ways and houses the wedding hall of the registry office, parts of the municipal administration, the adult education center, the administration of the castle foundation, the art association, a doctor's practice, a law firm, a yoga studio and the HOFHAUS.

Adelsdorf Castle is a baroque country or hunting castle. The two-storey, solid north wing with a gabled roof is supplemented by a two-storey half-timbered east wing as well as outbuildings and the castle chapel - marked "1595" and 1600. The castle's predecessor was a moated castle.
