This town, belonging to the Los Filabres-Tabernas region, is part of the province of Almería, although it is very close to that of Granada. It is located on the northern slope of Sierra Nevada.

Løb
The starting point is Plaza de Andalucía, in the center of Abrucena, along Calle Santo Cristo. On the corner of the street there are marks of the yellow arrow of the Camino de Santiago. The route follows the arrows of the Jacobean route along Perro Street and goes up to the viewpoints of the El Cerrillo neighborhood, in the upper part of the town. The trail leaves the town along a dirt track marked with milestones of a mountain biking route towards Bayárcal through the Ragua pass.
