Two bridges (the new one and the Genoese bridge right next to it) span the Golo River on the outskirts of Albertacce. Several pools and other beautiful natural areas are located upstream in the Golo and the Viru for swimmers who do not fear cold water.
Don't hesitate to stop on this bridge to admire the view. Whatever the weather, there is always a good shot to take.

What are the natural swimming conditions like at Ponte Altu, and is the water suitable for children?

The Golo River at Ponte Altu offers beautiful natural swimming pools. The water is pure and clear, though it can be quite cold as it's a mountain river.
