The island of Vivara, a mysterious and fascinating portion of land connected to Procida by an old bridge, is a naturalistic oasis protected since 1974 and a state nature reserve since 2002. Small, wild and unspoiled Vivara, as well as being populated by rare plants, wild rabbits and numerous water birds, it is home to important archaeological finds of Mycenaean origin. Its depths, spectacular and rich in marine plants, are also an attraction for all lovers of snorkeling and scuba diving.
