Vandring
The church of Plankenfels is dedicated to the founder of the Archdiocese of Bamberg, Emperor Heinrich II. In 1921 a church construction association was founded and already in 1924 the church could be finished. In 1971-1975 the church was extended by an extension and in 2015 the church received a dignified altarpiece, a mosaic depicting the resurrection of Christ.

The Church of St. Heinrich was consecrated in 1922 and expanded in 1975. The church's bells date from 1956, after the original bells were dismantled for armaments during World War II. Since 2006, St. Heinrich has been a branch church of the Hollfeld Parish Office of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Hollfeld.
