To get from Rhineland-Palatinate to Baden-Württemberg you have to cross bridges. North of Mannheim and Frankenthal/Pfalz, hikers can also use the A6 motorway bridge. Access is possible via the bridge abutments. The path runs in the middle between the lanes. It's noisy, but still an experience.

On both sides, you reach the street level via a fairly narrow staircase. No problem for athletes, but rather unpleasant for relaxed day-trippers. The two stair towers are a highlight in themselves. At the top, you are in the middle of the motorway, between the two directions of travel. It is accordingly loud, but also impressive to see the fast vehicles up close.
