The synagogue in Ingelheim in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Mainz-Bingen was built between 1840 and 1841 in the backyard of a residential building at Stiegelgasse 25. The synagogue was completely destroyed during the November pogroms of 1938. The ruin was sold and later a house was built on the property. Today a commemorative stele on the property (Synagogenplatz) commemorates the synagogue and the Jewish community. (Wikipedia)
