As of April 2024, I can't quite agree with Bernd. We walked barefoot from Vila Christina to the city, which was very possible. The beach in front of Vila Christina hardly has any rocks. There are a few more at the TUI complex. There were no pebbles at all, but I also heard that sand had been piled up.
What was worse was that there were around 20 dead dolphins on the coast of this beautiful beach (in front of the large TUI complex). A very sad sight.

I was on holiday!! Yes, it's cape Verde and the beach was lovely, actually it was quite windy here on most days.
