The church is dedicated to the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul. It is first mentioned in a document from 1599, although the church was renovated in 1719 on an old foundation. In the church gate there is a plane tree, which is now protected and is one of the most beautiful natural monuments of Sremski Karlovci.

One of the most important buildings in the city. One of the interesting facts is that the church courtyard is home to the largest plane tree in Vojvodina, if not Serbia.
