In 1887 the judge Franz Dominik Imlig (1824-1888) built the chapel “Maria zum guten Rat” on his home “Unterstalden” in Oberschönenbuch.
The builder of the chapel died only a year later. His sons subsequently sold the property including the chapel. The property was used by the construction company Martin Bolfing in Schwyz for gravel extraction and the house was sold for demolition. The chapel has survived and has been renovated several times in recent years by the Imlig family foundation.
