The Anna Mill in Norby is a so-called gallery windmill. This means that its actual mill structure, with its rotating cap and sails, stands on a fixed base with a gallery surrounding the mill.
It was built in 1911 and operated for a total of 67 years until 1978 (see: The History of the Anna Mill). In 1994, it was acquired by the municipality of Rieseby and, in cooperation with the municipality and local associations, was thoroughly restored over many years and converted into a local history museum (see: The Local History Museum).

It is thanks to the community of Rieseby that we can admire the mill today. She bought it in 1994 and has extensively restored it.
