The building of the small chapel has a steep pitched roof, a hexagonal turret with a French dome with a ball and a weather vane. The chapel has four pointed-arched tracery windows, a fifth one in the east wall is walled up except for the arch field. The building was renovated in 1978 and serves as Altenbeuren's village chapel.

The Altenbeuren “key bidders” characterize the entire village life. The chapel festival, the musical evening hock, the Advent singing, the Advent coffee - all these events are organized by the Fools' Association.
